Okay, I promised myself that whatever happens today between DLSU and FEU, I will be an optimist since that day has been perfect already, and so as yesterday, and I promised myself as well that I will not make a basketball game the basis of my melancholy. And thats what I promised myself, and Ive lived up to my promise.
When the buzzer sounded, I looked up the score board, teary-eyed to see the Archers lose by 2 points, I took it personally for the first 2 mins, but after singing the Alma Mater, it was all gone. I reminded myself that it was simply God's plan for DLSU, maybe we wont win the first game but win the next 2 games, whatever happens, we must always respect God's plan not only for DLSU, but for our lives as well. Ofcourse constant practice and commitment will always be there to help you. And like in previous posts, its all heart and determination, unfortunately only Joseph Yeo showed heart this afternoon.
Okay so why should I be an optimist despite the fact that we lost? For one thing we dont have classes tomorrow and I can get back some sleep. But the downside is we will miss the Frog Disection for Science, discussions in English and Math and another Rhetoric class, seems we are way behind in Rhetoric right now. Oh well, time to catch up on some sleep, maybe be a teenager for once, and start playing video games again! On the other hand its back to life as we know it for Jio on Saturday, you'll see me at school at 6:30 am.
Aside from that, Wednesday evening was.. memorable :D -won't go into the details-
And this morning, I was pulled out twice, once at 8:30 and the other at 10:00 for the PAASCU Meeting. Skipped Filipino and Social Science respectively and am behind notes in Soc Sci. But the meeting was good, we got to express opinions so freely while helping the school achieve as well. And no band, since the teachers had a meeting right after us. Great! :D
Then the SCO reunion, so great to see everyone in one room enjoying a meal together, even though I left early, it was reminiscent of the good old days. Vince even dropped by, im not sure if EJ did, but phew, nakakamiss na talga yung mga araw na andun lang gami, tambayan at naguusap parang barakada habang umiinom ng juice, coffee, icead tea at coke, paminsan may pizza pa eh at naglolokohan lang, parang walang problema sa buhay, parang.... But those were the old days, and we reenacted it today :)
Life surprises me, just yesterday I was in a slump, suffering from serious stress and down syndrome, the next day it has turned around completely, as I have said, I will not make a basketball game destroy such a wonderful 2 days, but if DLSU won, it would have been the icing on the cake. Whatever happens, I haven't felt this happy for a long long time. :)
