Poisoned Weapon..

During the age of the ninjas, poisons were used so often, and it was a good way to actually kill people, making them suffer slowly, torturing them and then they die, what a sad ending. I remember playing Tenchu when a flying arrow hits you, you get poisoned, I was so far in the game that I had no choice but to use cheat codes just to make sure I'll be able to finish it. Unfortunatley, life does not have cheat codes..

This afternoon, I went up against Daylo again, and fell for the age old trick of the poisoned pawn. It was a long pawn waiting to be eaten, I didnt see his trap, or may my morals was so down knowing that I would lose to last years MVP. I ate the pawn and thats it, I lost. All was down hill from there. When he was up by a knight, I played sloppy, I didnt care whether I would win or not, I wouldnt get the Board 1 MVP, we were already secured in 4th place while the 3rd place is a mile away. But that poisoned pawn tought me something today. What a blunder..

This year, LSGH-CSB was the dark horse in the NCAA tournament. Personally, achieving fourth is way beyond our expectations. Practically a raw team, With 2 graduating players, 4 of the 6 players have no experience whatsoever. Im glad I pulled off a single victory in 2 rounds, and one draw. I learned a lot from playing against players who are a lot better than me. With a team like this, only getting better by next year, with the addition of Eumir's brother and another grade school student, we will be a force to reackon with next year, and during my fourth year, hopefullly we will dominate the NCAA tournament. But, it all goes down to hardwork and dedication. Finally, I can stay home during the weekends! Horray for me!
