An essay by a tear-gassed man

As I looked up at the blue sky, in a matter of seconds it started drizzling. I just looked up at the sky, amidst the many people around me, catching down every rain drop falling from the sky. Heaven was crying, that what I though. And all I can say was its not meant to be….

When the smoke cleared up, it was over. 74-72, the Tamraws are once again the UAAP Champions. I couldn’t ask for anything more, it was a great game played by both teams, but in the end, FEU was simply better. Although, I will admit I cried after the game. Maybe it was because of the heart breaking loss, or maybe it was just because some FEU FAN THREW TEAR GAS A FEW STEPS AWAY FROM WHERE I WAS STANDING. Yes, some FEU fan threw tear gas in the La Salle crowd. The defeat, I accept wholeheartedly, but the behavior of the FEU fans was simply, boisterous. I will no longer find an excuse about our loss a while ago, yes the game was officiated very poorly and defensive lapses killed us, but FEU won fair and square and kudos to them.

Guys, its not the end of the world, its just a basketball game. Animo La Salle!
