Responsibility left behind

This morning, I woke up a few mins before 4pm. I got up and observed. I heard some noises in the bathroom, later finding out it was my mom who was taking a bath, my sister was fast asleep at the right side of the beed, waiting to be awaken. I went back to sleep for a while and woke up 10 mins later. This time my mom was out, she was walking around the room, packing her bags and checking if everything was complete, I was just staring, I didnt dare to move anymore, I just watched from afar. Then, I finally stood up and asked her to sign my reply slip, and she did. Then I went back to the bed and tried to sleep. The next thing I knew, I saw my mom by the side of my sister, crying. Then she walked over to my and kissed me goodbye. That was the last I'll see her for the next 2-3 weeks.

Dad is also gone, which leaves me the responsibility of maintaining the house and ensuring the safety of my sister. Freedom to an extent, yes, but not really. I cant go out of the house past 6 just to show consideration to the driver, I cant sleep over at friends house during the times when classes are called off. But still, its my responsibility as a big brother :D
