5 o'clock rainbow

My day was more like a Cinderella story. A series of unfortunate events plagued my morning, from waking up late, losses at the CSA tournament and late for Aida. But I think these were simply reminders that life isn’t all fun. We need to face whatever is in store for us, and that’s when we make decisions, either what is right, or what is easy. Typically we would choose what is easy, and I have to admit it’s the easiest way, but is it the correct path? But anyway, my post is dedicated 30 minutes after Aida. I ask myself, when was the last time I actually leaped so high in the air just to show how happy I am? Yes, I do jump during DLSU vs ADMU games, but this is a very different kind of happiness. I was pushing through the thick crowd of second and fourth year students who have enjoyed Cue’s presentation of Aida, trying to get to the bulletin board at the back of the gym near staircase C of the High School building. I was walking through a thick crowd of people, and when they all cleared, I ran towards the bulletin board, over there I saw the bulletin.

We passed the auditions! I jumped so high and ran back to the auditorium trying to find someone to tell me if my eyes were not deceiving me, and that’s when I found Io where both us were so happy that our respective bands entered the battle of the bands. He leaped so high when seeing the bulletin, I took a picture of it and just couldn’t contain my happiness, I told everyone I knew! Afterwards I walked or ran around La Salle; I even went back to the bulletin board for a third time. I just couldn’t believe it!

On my way to Shangrila that evening, I looked out the window and saw a rainbow. It was around 5 o’clock in the afternoon. I smiled and looked at it, admiring its beauty as it slowly faded into the afternoon sky.
