Stars, I used to wonder how a glowing ball of fire, so far away shine in the bright night sky, forming different forms, showing our way and of course, simply let us gaze upon the beauty the bestow upon us. How amazing, really!
I only get to enjoy the beauty of these magnificent objects when I’m not at home, and again I ask why? A star is a symbol of greatness, it symbolizes triumph as well; but I don’t know why I don’t see them at the place I call home? Scientifically, there is an answer, but I am never contented. I still catch myself gazing unto the night sky finding a lone star in the sea of darkness. But, once I’m not at home, somewhere where I try to avoid going to, that’s the time I see a sea of star in the sky. I wonder, why now? Why do you show up when I’m not at home? Why do you show up when I’m miserable? The star answered, “You may be miserable, but everyone around you is happy that you are here”.
Sometime we always think of ourselves ahead of others. We may be enjoying but what about the others? This one thing I leaned during today’s reach out, we are all comfortable in our homes, perhaps wasting money on stuff we don’t kneed while there are others out there on the brink of survival. As we grow richer, they grow poorer. Today’s challenge, can we close in the big gab between the rich and the poor?
