YM can be funny... and weird

Yesterday afternoon we had our last two exams namely English and Social Science. It wasn’t that bad considering that how confusing English is and all the memorization in Soc Sci. Its either that or I just stayed up way too late last night.

2 days ago I had a chat with a classmate. I was just about to study but I decided to open up YM (I couldn’t resist it). Then I placed on my status message how I would rather be an idiot than to be a genius, because being stupid as no limits. Anyway while getting my Social Science notebook he IMed me.

For the sake of privacy, lets name my classmate CM

CM (1/11/2006 2:01:54 PM): oy anu aaralin sa english? (Hey what are we going to study for English?)
Jio Igual (1/11/2006 2:02:04 PM): yung pinagaraln natin nung third quarter (What we learned during the third quarter)

I just realized how much of an idiot I was after I told him this because…

Humans are told to be limitless, to go on and never limit yourselves to what you already have but go and search the world! If you can achieve in your lifetime something that hasn’t been achieved for the past 65536 million years like searching for an alien life form, you are indeed special. But that takes a genius. I can achieve in one minute everything questionable in the world using sheer common sense and stupidity, like:

Do Aliens exist? Yes, I have one classmate who is one (name withheld)
Was Lapu-lapu really a fish who became human just to kill Magellan and to be called a hero later to be eaten in every Filipino home? Oh how the mind tricks us.

YM is weird. Everyone’s status messages are songs, always something so sentimental, if one is mad you’d read other weird status messages. Sometimes a notice, but still despite the fact that you caps lock everything stating that your busy, some jerk comes in an messages you.

Another conversation with CM, on my status message was the exam schedule.

That was Monday, I tried to trick him. Although it ended up making him look like an idiot. Oh YM, the powers it posses. Kids going online every night sharing assignments over a conference, sending projects and stuff, to a certain extent pictures and videos, sharing links and everything. Hey! I have an idea, why don’t we get home schooled using YM? After all we cram and study on YM, why not formalize it?

This afternoon we had band practice. I can never be funny just by talking, can you imagine me saying a joke? Sigurado ako weeh lang sasabihin niyo. But I'm funny if I'm in a video. Hey, maybe I can be the next Jim Carry, or Adam Sandler or some other cool comedian. Maybe I can be Jay Leno in the future. Or some extra who is just in the background being laughed at.

Oh my aspirations in life.
