I need a miracle, now

So, let me complain about some stuff which has been bugging me lately:

1. I have this “lecturer”, “professor”, “educator”, “mentor” whatever you want to call it, who thinks that teaching is about asking questions and letting us find out the answers, and if we can’t find them out, we’re given the “sorry ka nalang” attitude.

2. I have to find a way to raise 20000 (yes, 20k, twenty thousand) pesos by December 2. Either I find sponsors, solicitations, or pay for it myself, whatever happens I need to find a way to get 20k.

3. I have to get inhuman grades this quarter so as not to take the exams in four subjects , I’d love that, and I don’t want to study for fourth quarter exams

4. I have tons of projects to work on, deadlines here and there and everywhere. Either academic or non-academic.

5. I’ve neglected some of my duties already, I have to get my act together

6. I need to lose weight (enough said)

7. I need sleep, sleeping during CL time isn’t enough.

Anyone played the Sims? Sure, lots of people are/were hooked up with that simulations game. After all, building a house, a family and controlling their lives whether leading them to mindless crap or to superstardom, is really fun. For some reason, people like to control others, and I swear it isn’t exactly easy to keep a Sim happy constantly. But, there was a cool cheat where you can delete your Sim and the respawn him with full stats again, I wish real life was like that. I want to hit the save button and delete myself, then quickly hit the respawn button so everything feels so brand new.

On the brighter side, I watched Cue a while ago, and it was nice. Go Ms. Tin! J I realized, I’m never cut out for acting. I can’t dance on stage, I can’t sing at all. In fact, performing isn’t really my forte. Maybe in public speaking I’d do a lot better, or at back stage with all the lights, sound and technical stuff. I don’t know how these guys keep a poker face while acting. It’s, not real.

Afterwards, I waited at school for a while before going to Mall of Asia. There, a creepy guy approached us and said he was from LSGH, and even said he was a search-inner. But for some reason, he didn’t know what circle he was in. I had my doubts he was from LSGH at all. I was telling them to stop talking to him, I smelled trouble. And how to get out of talking? Ice Skating. I don’t know how the St. Scho Girls (Angela (psych ko!), Ria, Sharina, Hannah (Rakista!), Debbie and Ariel) get skating, while we were being brought to school by some wicked 6 year olds who can fly on ice. After an hour, the boys had a ton of blisters but still we went to Yellow Cab. We had dinner, and then left.

So it was generally a nice day, I enjoyed cue and went about with my St. Scho friends. It was a good way relive some stress over the past few weeks, but nothing beats a game of La Salle-Ateneo (like last week)! Now, it’s back to work, again.

Time to update

3 months of having writers block is bad, really bad. (sorry Ms. Kate for that really bad Australian article)

So last Friday I was sent home from school. I didn’t really like it because it was the last day, and to get sent home during a half day? Fortune wasn’t on my side. For those who are curious I was sent home because I had a cut inside my right eye, particularly at the cornea. That’s what the doctor said after I had a check-up with him right after being sent home. Although the doctor said I can go on with my regular activities today, so being sent home was actually a blessing. He also told me that no medicine will heal this thing (damn!) and all I have to do is wait for a couple of months. So I though a couple of months of enduring this pain would kill me, but then I realized that my eye stopped hurting right after I left school (hmmm, I wonder why). My dad was a bit reluctant to let me practice with Sabaw (my band) but he eventually allowed me. So at lunch I set of for Vince’s place, practiced, and went home.

Saturday I went to the STC family day, met Bianca and Denise, friends of Awin and Jaco. The only cool thing was when Jaco chased Denise at the, uhhmmm, I don’t know, field? Quadrangle? Well whatever she chased him and I was just laughing. Then I went polo scouting (and a bit of day dreaming) at Boss. The polo was so nice, the price was not. Jaco and I also had a food marathon at Shangrila.

1st Stop – Jio: Rice Burger, Large Fries and Large Coke at McDonalds; Jaco: Rice Burger, Large Fries and Large Coke at McDonalds

2nd Stop – Jio: Chicken Steak meal at KFC (and ate Jaco’s Large Fries); Jaco – Salmon Sashimi (from a certain Japanese restaurant), Chicken Orange and Large coke at KFC.

Food tripping was fun.

Monday was Tunog Dos day. Hannah can’t make it, I forgot to invite my other friends (or I can’t contact them), and my other friends backed out. Practice in the afternoon, play in the evening, and champions in the morning! Phew what a day. When our names were announced, most of us were, well sabaw already. We couldn’t believe it. But now, luck was definitely on our side!
